This course is intended to provide you with breadth and depth of understanding in the field of clinical research, preparing you for a role as a clinical research coordinator (CRC) or other clinical research professional.

The course contains the following modules:

  1. Introduction to Clinical Research
  2. Drug Discovery, Development, and Approval
  3. Launching a Clinical Research Study
  4. Participant Recruitment and Pre-Screening
  5. Conducting Study Visits
  6. Data Management and Documentation
  7. The Clinical Research Laboratory
  8. Investigational Product Management
  9. Regulatory for Clinical Trials
  10. Course Review 
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

  • Trade school (medical assistant certification, pharmacy technician certification) or
  • Phlebotomy certification or
  • Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse or
  • 2 years of college with A.A. or A.S. with a medical/health focus
  • Provide a valid form of ID such as a driver’s license, passport, birth certificate, and/or green card (for non-US citizens)
  • Up-To-Date vaccination record (including COVID-19 vaccinations)
  • Pass a background check and urine drug screen
  • Proficiency in the English language
  • Have a passion to advance in the field of Clinical Research/Healthcare
  • Successfully complete the required essay questions on the program application

What is the application process like?

Immediately after we receive your application, you will receive a confirmation of receipt. Within 3 weeks after receiving your application, we will release our decision.

How do I choose between the standard (6-month) and accelerated track (3-month) program?

When choosing between the 6-month and 3-month program, please consider how much time you have available in your schedule to complete the clinic days and online content included in the program. Individuals who have part-time commitments are encouraged to enroll in the 6-month program. Based on your performance in the first month of the program, you may switch to the alternate program.

Do I need to have experience in clinical research?

No experience is required to participate in this program, as it is designed to help you gain experience and launch into a new career in clinical research with a myriad of essential skills in your toolkit!
